Chinese Journal of International Law

 

 

Chinese Journal of International Law(Chinese name: 《中国国际法论刊》) is a comprehensive English quarterly of international law. It focuses on core issues of public international law, dedicating to the publications of academic views and practical materials in China.

Chinese Journal of International Lawwas founded in 2002 by Professor Yi Xian-he and Mr. Wang Tie-ya, both acting as chief editors then. Since the 2nd issue of the first volume, Professor Yi Xian-he has served as editor-in-chief. From 2005 on, this journal has been published by Oxford University Press. It was listed as a source journal in the US Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) in 2008, making it the second foreign comprehensive journal of international law listed in SSCI, and the first and only source journal of law that was founded by Chinese scholars in the list of SSCI.

In 2012, Impact Factors ofChinese Journal of International Lawsurpassed that ofEuropean Journal of International Law. Papers published on this journal have been quoted in petitions filed by China to the International Court of Justice and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. This journal is co-supported by Chinese Society of International Law and Institute of International Law, Wuhan University.
